That was just the start of the strange things. Apparently, Mr. Palaeno and Larry both know this man... he's an Interpol agent. And he said he has no jurisdiction to to help us... and that things are a mess out there.

But the way he perceives us... Yes, I've noticed that too. He thought that I was Furio Tigre, too, and he refused to talk with someone who is a criminal. That's the same way that the Proto Badger sees me, too... Only the hostages in the mirrors have recognized me for who I really am.

So it stands to reason that he, at least, was some kind of trick- not the real agent.

That sounds very likely. Either that, or his mind was tampered with in some way..

That all of our heads could have been tampered with? That... that is the only logical explanation. For all the impossible things we've seen these past two days...

But just accepting that much still doesn't do anything for getting us out of this situation.

You're right. If something has been done to our minds... then maybe the key would be figuring out how we could have been affected... and how to undo it?

One way or another, there's a spell here to be broken. What if we can show the badger itself the truth?

Well... That would depend on the truth behind the badger. If its the person really behind all of this, I don't know if it will listen to what we have to say. From what I've seen and heard, it doesn't seem very receptive to logic after all...

Blood thirsty as well. I doubt just convincing the bad badgers to come forward won't stop the death.

There definitely must be something in place to keep the bad badgers from coming forward at all. Otherwise... I'm sure that someone would have confessed by now.

Yes... He mentioned her to me. That did strike me as curious... because he answered some of my questions about her, but he never said when she was shown.

But... does that really mean...? [His heart is beating rapidly; he can't face what this could mean.]

But "shown" is all she was. Where are they keeping the other hostages? And how are they being shown to us?
